The MoleVision project is accepted

We are pleased to announce that the MoleVision project has been accepted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with a total budget of 1.520.000,00€. The project will start on the 1st of August 2022.

The main objective of the project is to develop an application to detect melanoma as opposed to benign moles from captured photos with the help of machine learning. Additionally, if necessary, a secure private communication channel between patients and suitable dermatologists is expected to be provided. The MoleVision project will produce an innovation of early major cancer detection and thus improve living standards and health.

The project consortium consists of 4 partners i.e. University Hospital Bonn, the University Hospital Dusseldorf and the University of Siegen, and Petanux GmbH, where, Petanux is responsible for developing AI and Deep Learning solutions in this project.
